Wednesday’s Wish Trip, Mancora Marina Hotel-Mancora, Peru
So we all hear about the Galapagos Islands (a series of 13 main islands, 3 smaller islands, and 107 rocks and islets) and we envision pure beauty, diverse wildlife and quiet beaches. However, if you have ever looked into a visit to the Galapagos you’ll find more often than not extremely high price tags and limited areas open to the public. If you don’t have a large budget, consider looking south of the Galapagos to neighboring Peru’s beaches. We were excited to come across a beautiful property, the Mancora Marina Hotel in picturesque Mancora. Mancora is a small town with less than 10,000 inhabitants which means peaceful beaches and a quaint surf culture. The hotel is stunning and beach front & features the areas largest infinity pool with a unique sloping design. Each of their 12 crisp, white rooms boast Peruvian pima cotton sheets and a phenomenal sea view. With no shortage of things to do in the area the hotel is happy to help arrange fishing trips, surf lessons, zip line canopy tours and more. Perhaps after hiking Machu Picchu you’d consider booking a regional airline flight to Mancora to soak up some sun for those weary bones!?
